Mark Chaisson has joined the QCB section as Assistant Professor of Biological Sciences starting October 1st, 2017. Mark Chaisson was trained as a computer scientist and completed his Ph.D. at UCSD. He developed algorithms for computational genome analysis at Pacific Biosciences and the University of Washington. Mark's future research will solve emerging analytic challenges associated with resolving genome architecture and determining the contribution of structural genomic variation to disease and evolution.
